Rated 3.7 out of 5by 7 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5by Russian language review I'm fairly happy with Russian in Rosetta Stone. I think think that Rosetta Stone works well after already having studied Russian grammar. I don't think that Rosetta Stone teaches grammar in a logical manner. I think that there should be some instructions associated with the grammar that people can pull up and look at to obtain better understanding. I also think it should be easier to get a listing of the vocabulary associated with a given level. Learning the vocabulary before hand makes a big difference. I think the studio sessions are fine. I don't like the group sessions and think that the private sessions are currently priced to be too expensive. February 18, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5by excellent way to learn Russian I am currently in unit three of level one. I have found the continuous exposure to native speakers most helpful in learning pronunciation and comprehension. The visual association of words with pictures teaches one to think in the new language without translating. The only problem I have had is understanding the grammatical reasons for the different endings on words. The verb conjugations are not so hard to understand, but the case endings on the nouns need some more explanation. February 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5by Russian Language I've had Rosetta stone for a little over 2 months. Its been fantastic. I had my first live tutoring session. I wish I realized it was available sooner. I had an amazing experience and have signed up for 2 more live lessons next week. February 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5by Total approach to language I have been using Rosetta Stone to learn Russian for the last four years. In that time I have been able to finish all 5 levels twice. I am currently in the middle of my third attempt. I have only dedicate 30 minutes a day to the program. So how did I do? I visited Russia last summer, and was amazed not at what I knew from the program, but how well I knew it. I was able to read almost every single sign and advertisement quickly. Conversation was no problem. If someone used a word I did not understand, I would ask them to right it down. I could then sound out the word and submit it to memory. Why repeat the lessons? After I finished my first run through, I decided to repeat the entire five lessons. On the second attempt, I actually believe I learned more then on my first attempt. The reason I believe is that as I began to pick up more on the concepts of grammar, while my first run through really focused on learning vocabulary. So far on my third run through I am discovering that I can write the language very well. More? I hope that Rosetta decides to add either more lessons in the future, or an advanced Russian lesson product. Why Rosetta? I tried many other products prior to Rosetta. None of them linked one lesson to another. They appeared to be independent lessons with no reason or method between them. Rosetta is exactly the opposite. Everything works together like a story line. Concepts in lesson one are related to lesson two and so on. February 6, 2015
