Microsemi's PD-9606G is designed to power network devices such as IP cameras, access control systems, thin clients and other Ethernet powered devices (PD) that require up to 72W, it also targeting emerging devices that use high power over Ethernet infrastructure such as digital signage and monitors. PD-9606G Energy Efficient PoE Midspans are PoH compliant (Power Over HDBaseT), they are unique in their ability to deliver power over all 4 pairs of the Cat 5E or better cable, they are also backwards compatible to 802.3af and 802.3at, including 4-pairs 802.3at. With the midspan's plug-and-play installation, they are easily and cost effectively implemented leveraging an existing Ethernet infrastructure while at the same time providing the assurance of a future proof network. The PD-9606G/ACDC/M also support Mutual Midspan Backup, which allows two adjacent midspans to share power supplies, for redundancy purposes and to have the possibility of sending more than 1000W from a single Midspan.
