Rated 4 out of 5by Doladollar What I was looking for!!
I am a busy mom with three boys 12 and under. Over the years, as movie fans, we have acquired many movies, many of them videos from when my oldest son was younger. My kids are pack rats! Every time I tried to give away a movie, I was told "but it's my favorite movie!!" They never watched them on video... I bought a VCR/DVD recorder but most would not record because of the copyright. I just wanted something to copy MY OWN videos to DVD for MY OWN use. After reading the reviews of this product I was very hesitant to purchase it and tried to find something else that might suit my needs. Finally, after finding nothing else as cost efficient, I bought the Roxio program.
The other reviews are correct wth difficulty of installing. It was quite frustrating. There was a download needed... many restarts.... But once I got it installed it is copying all my old videos to DVD with NO problem.
I also agree with the comment that there needs to be more instruction. I am trying to do fancy things with the DVDs and find that I could use some help figuring it out.. the instructions are very limited. But, heck, the videos are for my kids, so who am I trying to impress.
Basically, if you are looking for a VHS to DVD program that does just that, this is for you. If you want to do all kinds of editing, be prepared to use much patience!!

Rated 4 out of 5 Bought this with the expectations of transfering all my old vhs to dvd's. I could not get the direct vhs to dvd mode to work, I had to put on computer and then to dvd. The only format that I ended up with is AV1; works great on computer but my dvd player can't play it. Any help would be great. I wish I was more computer savvy.
