Rated 3.3 out of 5by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5by Best Features in Price Range This laptop worked perfect right from the box. This one is an i7 processor with 8 gig ram, where others in this price range were on i3 and i5 processors with 4-6 gig of ram. It is fast, cool and I really like the fact that it is not as cluttered with bloatware as other laptops I and my family have owned. I wanted a small package and am very comfortable with the small screen, but others may find it too small. I work with power hungry graphics and video programs and when I combine this laptop with an external monitor I find that I don't need the desktop I custom built a while back. This also allows me to take my work on the road where before I could not. I am averaging about 6 hours of battery life, but I am hard on a battery as I use the DVD player a lot. The small keyboard is comfortable to me and when I need more that it has to offer, I use an external keyboard. There are compromises with a small laptop, but so far I am not feeling them. As for durability, it seems solid, no flux in the screen with aluminum casing. In the end, time will tell. Looks are subjective, but I like the simple and sleek design. It looks very professional and I have received compliments from associates who are amazed at how much is packed into this small unasuming laptop. September 2, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 Great laptop for the money I really like this laptop. Is very powerful with the i7 and 8gb ram. At first, I felt like the touchpad had too much friction but in a couple of days I was loving it. The keyboard is great and the backlid too. When I use it on the bed I put it in a platform. So I recommend using a book or something; otherwise, will get hot. Also the webcam is really bad so if you want an hd webcam this latop is not for you. It have average audio and weight about 4lb so if you want something below that you should get an ultrabook or air. I didn't give it 5 stars just because is not a zenbook or macbook pro but is really good. Overall is an incredible laptop for the price. September 2, 2012

Rated 3 out of 5by I really wanted to like this laptop, a lot, but it has some problems. What's good: Vivid Screen, backlit keyboard, 8gRam, fast i7 processor, decent audio, almost no bloatware, Good battery life. USB 3.0 ports. Runs cool and quiet. ASUS gives you a lot of power/$ What's just OK: Keyboard and touchpad, but you're not going to get the best quality at this price. What's bad: ASUS website and customer interface. At some point, you'll need this. It's probably fine if you're a computer expert, but if you're not, (like me) you'll be very disappointed. It's not a user-friendly place. The optical drive is flimsy and located right where I put my right hand when I pick it up, so I accidentally pop it open frequently. All keyboard controls for audio volume, screen brightness, touchpad and backlighting require Fn+F#. This seems like a small thing but I use these a lot and it's a pain in the butt, and ASUS could fix probably fix this with a BIOS upgrade....but that would require users going to their website, and, well... Overall, it's got some good features, and some definite weak points. I wish I could give it a better review because I'm using it right now...but it'll probably go back to the store tomorrow, because I think I can do better for the same amount of money. If you're a computer geek, you'll like it. If you're just an average user, you might not. July 28, 2012
