Realspace? Calusa Mesh Mid-Back Chair, Black 3.9 5 85 85
SLOW MOTION CRUMBLE-ON OTHERWISE GOOD CHAIR I have had this chair for about 12 months. The assembly was standard with some words typical of translated English but not a real problem. Over the last 12 months the integrity has been slowly failing: strange squawks, grinding sounds, bolts loosening, unwanted sudden tilt positions, kind of like being in a haunted office since during the day I can't find anything wrong except a small 1/4 inch play. and there is no obvious way to tighten and eliminate the extra slop. This is not a show stopper but it seems to be getting worse so... I can't find the assembly instructions and went online Office Depot but could not find any manual download section, whish is a standard and necessary web section. I am getting to the point of attempting to either take it in to Office D for a fix or replacement. I like the price point of this chair nd the mesh design. The price I paid was very reasonable during a sale last year. I just hope it will hold together a few more years-and I would like to download an assembly manual (nudge, nudge, Office Depot) :) DBellas December 13, 2014
Bit of a disappointment The back does not come forward enough. I still feel like I'm leaning backward. I am going to take it apart and try to re-align and tighten screw, which I'm not looking forward to doing. Otherwise, I don't know what else to try. Also, on the model in the store, the seat slid forward and back, but this one doesn't, and, the instructions do not mention that. It was one reason I liked it on the showroom model. December 8, 2014
Unaligned Back I bought for my home office at half-price after sitting in a floor model, and I had the same problem as Scott did with the back being misaligned/unsquare. The arms, when folded all the way down and the back all the way forward, were visibly sticking upwards at an angle, and the back reclining. To remedy I bought two 8mm Grade 8 hex bolts, and 10 washers. After reassembly I was amazed at how big of an angle (11 degrees) the back was off. I am comfortable in this chair now, but I should not have had to take these extra measures. Do not buy unless you are prepared for some extra assembly. December 1, 2014
