For high-quality text and grayscale images, maximum resolution is 600 x 600 dpi (1200 x 600 dpi optimized). You can also reduce/enlarge copies from 50% to 200%.

Fax documents and images as fast as 3 seconds per page. There are up 8 one-touch speed-dials and 100 coded dials, for faster access. A 256-page fax memory stores incoming faxes if you can't print them immediately. And PC fax capability lets you conveniently send faxes from your computer, for greater privacy.
Color scanner lets you digitize documents and images.
You can convert your paper documents and images to electronic files using the color scanner. It features a 600 x 1200 optical resolution (up to 9600 x 9600 dpi enhanced), with up to 24-bit color.

The built-in Ethernet port lets your whole network connect to the D480 to save you money! Also includes a hi-speed USB 2.0 port for direct connectivity to a PC or Mac. For Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Server 2003, Mac OS X 10.2.8 and later (for USB printing and PC faxing), and Mac OS X 10.3.9 and later (for USB scanning).
