I was very disappointed in this product. I didn't even think to read the reviews before purchasing and I wish I had. Everything that others have written is true. There are no instructions for how to put it together (it was surprisingly difficult to figure out!) and the plastic hooks broke almost instantly during assembly. I never even got to see if the magnetic strips were strong enough to hold the weight of the file, but judging from other reviews, I'm assuming they aren't.

Hate this product. I was so excited for something to help me stay organized in my office. Not only did it not come with instructions on how to put it together, the 2 clips that hold the magnetic portion in place are terribly small. 1st one broke within a week. 2nd one broke within a couple months (the 2nd one was used significantly less than the first one). On top of that, the magnets themselves are held on by a sticky tape, which actually came off after a short while as well. On all levels, this product is terrible. I had read many of the reviews and took the chance because I know people can exaggerate, but take my word for it, no exaggeration here, this product is NOT worth the time or money.

I purchased this item to hang on the side of the fridge. It was holding an empty three ring binder and broke within a few days. The design does not lend itself to holding any weight since the mechanism is two small plastic hooks about .5 cm in length. Do not buy unless you only need to store one piece of paper.

I was so excited when I found a black one to match my cabinet. Unfortunately after I put my papers in it, it fell down while I was teaching. The magnet would not stay on the plastic to hold it onto the cabinet. I went to buy super glue today so I can try that to make it work.
