FORAY Dual-Powered Pencil Sharpener, 6, Black/Silver 2.8 5 10 10
Doesn't work Bought six for students in my art class. 3 of the 6 do not work. I need to return these for replacement or refund. June 26, 2014
Blade Dulls Quickly - Stops Sharpening It was doing a great job but then after several pencils it stopped sharpening. I found out the cutter dulls easily and has to be replaced! Probably costs less to buy a new sharpener...but it won't be this brand. August 28, 2013
Piece of Junk! I bought this sharpener after having had the Foray battery powered pencil sharpener for the past few years. Honestly, I rarely used the other sharpener and it was only recently rediscovered after I lost my Tug manual pencil sharpener (a hand-held sharpener that costs less than $2... possibly the best sharpener I've ever owned). The battery powered Foray sharpener just died, so I figured I'd spend the extra $10 on the dual-powered one. Got it home and sharpened ONE PENCIL before it started clicking at me and stopped sharpening. Thinking it was a fluke, I brought it back to the store and got another. This one worked a bit better, as I got through a whoppin' 10 pencils before the clicking started and it stopped working again. Bringing it back and getting a refund so I can spend a couple bucks on another Tug sharpener. I'd rather have to manually sharpen all of the pencils for my classroom than waste my time and money on another Foray! June 16, 2013
Performs Well I purchased this pencil sharpener based on reviews. I have had it for one month. It sharpens pencils quickly, evenly, and with a sharp point. You have to gauge when to remove the pencil as it keeps running. It is lightweight and it is a good idea to hold the sharpener with your other hand. The cup does not collect all the sharpenings- so best to emply over a trash can. To date I am very pleased with this sharpener. May 20, 2013

Answer:
Are you putting it all the way in?....I noticed that the motor starts the second it feels anything. I have to hold it in pretty tight.
Or is there a piece of the lead stuck inside the sharpener?....this is usually the cause.
Not sure if I was any help.
