Boston? Ranger 55 Pencil Sharpener, Chrome/Tan
Worst sharpener I have ever had
I spent a lot of extra money for this sharpener. In fact, I bought 2. I teach middle school art and sharpening pencils and colored pencils and good, durable sharpeners are very important to my classroom. This reminded me of the workhorse I inherited years ago - looked good and sturdy and it was expensive. To start, the pencil hole adjuster is very flimsy and eventually works loose. The pencil sharpener comes apart at the top because of the way it is put together (each side screws in separately at the bottom, nothing holding it together on top), then it starts slipping and making terrible grinding noises. One lasted 2 weeks and the other one lasted a month. I went through 2 replacements. The crumb container is hard to empty also. Absolutely would not recommend this to anybody.

Just installed this in my basement study and it looks fantastic. Works great too! Quick tip: The unit has to be mounted so that the turn-crank is on the right. Otherwise it doesn't sharpen that well. Mounted correctly, however, and it delivers awesome-looking pinpoint sharpened pencils.

Bought this sharpener about 1 month ago and just hung it up 3 days ago. It STINKS!!!!! Only sharpens one side of the pencil. Took it down to return and will order an electronic one.
