A little disappointing
The texture is OK, It is not completely clear. It has held together for 10 months. My problem with this mat is that both sides curl up at the edges. It is enough to catch my toes or the vacuum cleaner, and more importantly, all dust dirt and cat hair in the vicinity. I wish I could return it.

Really fit the bill!
Very pleased with this purchase! I lucked out and bought it on sale, but I will probably buy another at full price for my husband's desk.
This mat is just the right size for my home office desk area. I was apprehensive because of the lip, as my desk is a corner armoire-style and has a "floor" in it, but the lip slid underneath easily. I have a good sized chair and the mat size allows me to roll around quite a bit without going over the edge. The floor underneath is 100+ year old hardwood and has little gaps between the boards that the chair wheels would catch on, but the mat smooths them out nicely and will keep me from tearing up the floor more. It's not very thick, so not sure how it would work on a more uneven surface, but in this application it's great!
The label on the mat says lifetime warranty and it's made in the USA...another plus! Love the fast, free delivery too!

Great value
I ordered this mat on sale. I ordered it over the Internet with in store pickup. I was not quite sure what I would end up with.... the picture looked like is was not quite clear, maybe opaque. I was pleasantly surprised when it was clear with straight edges.
It looks great in my room, the tile floor shows nicely through it, and my chair rolls over the grout with ease. Yea!
