This SmartPro line-interactive UPS system provides reliable battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, overvoltages, surges and line noise that can damage valuable electronics or destroy data. The SMART1500LCD is ideal protection for small business networks, VoIP systems, point-of-sale applications, desktop workstations, home offices and home theater systems. The field-replaceable, hot-swappable VRLA battery modules allow you to work through short power failures and give you enough time to safely save files and shut down your system in case of a prolonged blackout. Switchover from line to battery power happens within milliseconds to maintain continuous operation of connected equipment without interruption or rebooting. Eight 5-15R outlets provide connected equipment with PWM sine wave AC output. Power provided by these outlets is filtered to protect connected equipment against damaging surges and line noise. AVR protects your equipment from incremental hardware damage, data loss and performance problems caused by brownouts. The SMART1500LCD can correct brownouts as low as 75 V and overvoltages as high as 147 V back to nominal 120 V power continuously, all while keeping the battery fully charged and ready to take over in case of power failure. This UPS system filters out disruptive electromagnetic and radio frequency interference that can inflict hardware damage or data loss. This EMI/RFI filtering also helps your connected components perform better and last longer. By meeting strict U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requirements, this ENERGY STAR UPS system provides high operational efficiency to signal a reduction in BTU emissions, save on utility and cooling costs and help protect the environment. The large LCD indicates a variety of UPS operational conditions, including voltage, runtime, load, battery and operating mode. The control panel rotates to accommodate both rack-mount and tower configurations. An audible alarm indicates loss of utility power or low battery. RS-232 and HID-compliant USB ports connect to a computer running free downloadable PowerAlert software to enable safe unattended system shutdown in case of a prolonged power failure. Cables are included. You can mount the SMART1500LCD in just 2U of space in an EIA-standard 19-inch rack using the included hardware. You can also adapt it for tower installation using the included brackets. The six-foot power cord with NEMA 5-15P plug connects to a compatible AC outlet.
