Don't buy this item I have purchased several X-Acto pencil sharpeners and they were great. This model is horrible. It is so loud that it disrupts everyone. X-Acto needs to re-think this model. November 6, 2013
Stopped working after only a few uses! It refuses to sharpen new pencils, and it takes a long time to sharpen any pencils at all. I would get so mad waiting 10 minutes for it to sharpen one pencil, and I'd honestly rather do it manually with a 99 cent hand sharpener. After a few (very frustrating) uses, the motor finally burnt out and now it doesn't work at all. I wish I still had the receipt so I could get my money back. February 11, 2013
Horrible! Frustrating! Cheap! DO NOT BUY THIS PENCIL SHARPENER! It takes over 5 minutes to sharpen a dull pencil, and it will NEVER sharpen a brand new pencil! They must have some kind of saftey clutch mechanisim that keeps you from burning out the motor from overuse, but the slightest amount of cutting and the blades stop spinning! The motor keeps spinning and whining away, but the blades stop. I got an aching back standing over this darn thing trying to find just the right amount of pressure to keep the blades sharpening! DO NOT BUY THIS PENCIL SHARPENER! I October 24, 2012
