First for some background, I'm a professional mechanic with experience in fabrication so I've run into my fair share of challenges that have required me figuring out and implementing unique solutions when things haven't gone together right.
I ordered this desk online because it looked like exactly what I needed for my office space. When I put it together the first thing I noticed was that there was about a 3/4"-1" gap on the right side support that should've met the desk surface. I tried disassembling and reassembling to no avail. It appears to be a machining error where the holes on that support do not line up properly. I was discouraged but figured I could live with it since the desk was going up against a wall anyway and it might not be to noticeable. I soldiered on and got the desk drawer together and the latch wouldn't make no matter what I did. This really frustrated me considering how much time I'd invested in this thing so I let it sit for a week as I thought about how to fix it. I decided I could probably reposition the latch to get the action to catch and just re-mount the latching mechanism. I went to do that and when I opened the folding part of the drawer the whole bottom of the desk drawer fell out ripping the screws and presumably destroying all the wood screw threads that were holding it in place. I don't know I was too frustrated to check at that point. Now this thing is sitting in a pile in my office and I can't wait to be rid of it soon enough.
I'm very disappointed to spend this amount on a purchase that is ultimately worthless and shoddily manufactured and the fact that it will be an additional chore to get compensation, if I get any compensation of course is a further insult.
