Realspace? PRO 3000 Series Ergonomic Custom Fit Fabric Mid-Back Chair, Black/Black 4.2 5 31 31
Great chair for petite women after back surgery I have been on a hunt for some time for a reasonably priced (under $700) chair that will fit a petite woman (5'3") who does photo retouch using the computer for hours. I have rods in my back from back surgery so lower lumbar support is important. The arm rests move in and out and up and down for proper alignment as well as multiple seat adjustments. This chair is a keeper. December 15, 2014
Strong and comfortable I have bought many of these chairs, and it is probably one of the best that money can buy. If you sit for many hours, and have to occasional move to other areas then this is the chair. Adjusts in many ways, so you will always be comfortable. December 8, 2014
Excellent Chair Comfy & fits like a glove. I'm 5'6 and it's great to finally find a chair that ISN'T designed for big & tall customers AND can be used for long periods of time. Best of all, it fit nicely into the front seat of my coupe for the ride home. I'm chalking that up to some market research that shows tiny people drive tiny cars... Kudos to the product team creating a functional, comfortable product with a reasonable price point. November 14, 2014

Answer:?
You have to sit in the chair in order to drop the height while pulling the lever on the right side beneath the chair. The weight assists you in dropping it as the lever releases.

Answer:?
The first lever(the one closest to the front of the chair) controls the tilt lock. Down will let the chair tilt freely and up will lock the chair in place. The product assembly instructions are also available directly on the item page on OfficeDepot.com, Item# 996190

For further assistance please contact us at 1-800-949-9974.

To remove the 5 star base:

1. To remove the five star base from the gas lift, turn the chair upside down. There are about one to two inches where the gas lift sticks through the five star base.
2. Use a hammer to hit the edge or rim of the gas lift while pulling out the five star base. Avoid hitting the metal clip in the center of the gas lift, as it will release the pressure needed in order to raise or lower your chair. The more you hit the gas lift, the more pressure will be released. After several taps, it will come right out.

To remove the gas lift:

1. To remove the gas lift from the seat plate, keep the chair upside down.
2. Use a hammer to hit around the area where the gas lift fits inside the seat plate while pulling out the gas lift. These two items are locked together by pressure; the more you hit the seat plate and pull on the gas lift simultaneously, the more pressure will be released. Eventually the two items will separate.

To remove the seat plate:

Use the allen wrench that came with the chair to unscrew the seat plate from the seat cushion. Make sure to keep the black plastic spacer attached to the seat cushion.

The lever on the side has no affect. The front of the seat is currently tilted all of the way down. I would like the seat to be level.

Thanks.

Answer:?
Yes, although as you move the seat forward the base of the back follows, giving the back a slight tilt to the reclining position. Not a problem.
