Ativa® 56K V.92 External RS232/Serial Modem

Achieve faster Internet access and Web browsing with the Ativa 56K V.92 External Serial Modem. It offers a data transmission rate of up to 56Kbps*, while allowing rapid connection and upload times. Plug and Play makes it is easy to install on any PC running Windows 98/Me/2000/XP, with a Pentium 233MHz processor or faster, MMX support and at least 64MB RAM. Just connect it to your computer's serial port and go! In fax mode, the modem transmits at up to 14.4Kbps.

V.92 offers a higher upstream speed than V.90, and significantly shortens the time it takes to connect to your Internet service provider (ISP). The faster upstream rate also reduces the time it takes to send email with attachments and speeds up interactive applications. V.92 also supports a call-hold feature, compatible with Call Waiting, so you can answer phone calls without disrupting your modem connection.
