Best Vacuum EVER!
I purchased this vac approximately 1 year ago. I love it due to the fact that it is so easy to "super vac" all the little nooks and crannies in my home. I put this on my back, turn on my headphones and 2 hours later my entire house is so so clean! It's addictive! My only suggestion in the "cons" department is that the flexible hose needs to be 3 feet longer so that it doesn't kink up when I'm reaching far in an area that the rigid pole would not be appropriate. But other than that tiny issue, it's a real gem!

Attachment problems
I bought this vacuum on 11-30-15. The reason for my purchase was that I had another backpack vacuum that I absolutely loved, except that the cord was too short. I was using the other vacuum in a 40 X 60 building and thought that I would use the Hoover Back Pack instead and use the one I currently owned in the house. Well, I got the Hoover Back Pack unpacked and proceeded to read the manual to see how to put it together. The manual is basically useless. There are only 13 pages in English. Two other languages are also included. No where in the manual does it explain how to put the attachments together or what any of the attachments are for. (There is a page showing you how to vacuum. Really???) There is a diagram, however, the diagram only list the names of the different parts, but doesn't tell you how to put them together. I proceeded to try and put the floor tool onto the vacuum and it wouldn't fit. It kept falling off, next I tried a piece called an adapter with the floor tool, nope that wasn't working AND that is NOT how it was shown in the diagram either. Along this process a metal curved piece somewhat the diameter of a coat hanger fell out from the tightening ring on the wand. This piece did not look important, but I didn't throw it out. I then went to this website and viewed videos to see if I was missing something.........nope. Nothing new learned there. Then I read other reviews both good and bad and found that there were other people that were having the same problem as I was. I also read a response from Hoover attempting to tell someone how to put the floor attachment on. The Hoover person seemed to have good intentions, but I found his advice hilarious. On my backpack vacuum the adapter only works for the small tools (upholstery tool, and dusting brush) it does not work on the crevice tool, all purpose tool, or the floor tool. This was completely contrary to the advice with pictures that was given the other customer. Still, I tried the advice once again and Nope didn't work. Finally, after much time and frustration I wedged that little metal coat hanger looking piece into the tightening ring and while holding the floor tool tightly to the wand screwed the tightening ring back into place. Now my attachments work. I am not sold on the crevice tool. I think it is too long. It is difficult to use because of the length of the wand and the crevice tools length combined. It did perform extremely well picking up dust between carpet and baseboards, however, it was very uncomfortable to use because of the length. The suction power on this vacuum is extremely nice. It does not have a rotating brush so I don't like it's performance on carpets, however, I didn't get it for carpets so I didn't use that factor in my review. I'd like to give this vacuum a higher rating, but the lack of adequate instructions, insufficient knowledge from Hoover folks, and that little piece of metal (that piece of metal really bothers me because it looks like a cheap fix) that makes the tools work I just can't.
