The HP Pavilion Media Center a1540n is a powerful Media Center desktop that delivers high-end performance for digital photography, music and other multimedia. The a1540n is powered by the AMD Athlon 64 X2 processor 4200+, a dual-core processor capable of running two applications simultaneously. The processor also features AMD Live!, to unify your digital entertainment choices and let you access them easily. The a1540n comes with a huge 2GB memory, a large 250GB high-performance hard drive, and a multiformat DVD drive and memory card reader.

The LightScribe™ DVD Double Layer drive lets you burn and play DVDs and CDs, including DVD+R Double Layer, with 8.5GB capacity per disc. The LightScribe feature lets you etch silkscreen-quality labels (grayscale text and graphics) onto discs using the drive itself: after burning content, just flip the disc over in the drive to burn the label. (Labeling feature requires LightScribe-compatible media, sold separately.)
