Tripp Lite's MRV2012UL Inverter/Charger is the quiet alternative to gas generators - with no fumes, fuel or noise to deal with! It provides equipment with utility- or generator-supplied AC electricity filtered through premium ISOBAR surge protection. This heavy-duty DC-to-AC inverter with automatic line-to-battery transfer and integrated charging system serves as an extended-run UPS, a standalone power source or an automotive inverter suitable for rugged RV applications. Supplies up to 2000 watts of continuous 120V AC power from any 12V DC battery or automotive DC source. OverPower inverter output feature temporarily provides up to 150% of the continuous output for up to 60 minutes and DoubleBoost inverter output feature delivers up to 200% of the continuous output for up to 10 seconds, providing the extra power needed to cold-start heavy-duty power tools and motorized equipment. When hardwire AC input is energized, commercial power passes through to connected equipment and the battery set is recharged via 3-stage charging system with user-selectable 25/100 amp charger output. In UPS mode, the MRV APS system responds to blackouts and voltage fluctuations with a near-instantaneous automatic transfer to battery-derived AC output. Includes a set of high-current DC input terminal posts for simple installation (user supplies batteries and cabling). Passes sine wave utility or generator power during battery charging and UPS line power operation, plus efficient PWM sine wave AC output in inverter and UPS backup modes. Reliable large transformer design with frequency control powers resistive electronic loads or large inductive motors, compressors and other items with high current needs on startup. Optional APSRM4 wired remote control module with full status LEDs provides remote power inverter on/off switching and continuous status information (APSRM4 sold separately). Supports an unlimited amount of runtime with any number of user-supplied batteries connected. Highly adaptable to a variety of applications and site conditions with adjustable charger settings for wet/gel battery types and selectable line to battery power transfer voltages.

Heavy-Duty DC-to-AC Power for Recreational Vehicles
- Supplying DC-to-AC power for land vehicles, marine crafts and any other vehicular operation that requires UL standard 458
The MRV2012UL features an automatic line-to-battery transfer switch and integrated charging system that allow it to work as a vehicle inverter, standalone AC power source or extended-run UPS. When the MRV2012UL is connected to an AC power source, power is passed through to connected equipment and the battery set is charged via a 3-stage, 25/100-amp selectable charging system with adjustable settings for wet/gel battery types. In the event of a power failure or severe voltage fluctuation, the MRV2012UL responds with a near-instantaneous (16.6 millisecond) automatic transfer to battery power. Any number of user-supplied batteries may be connected to the MRV2012UL to provide unlimited extended battery backup support for critical equipment. A three-position switch enables you to select AUTO mode, CHARGE-ONLY mode or SYSTEM OFF mode.
To prevent damage to the inverter and connected equipment, the MRV2012UL shuts down automatically if an overload is detected at the AC output connection. The red Load Level Indicator LED will flash to alert you that an overload has occurred. Additional overload protection is provided by a 25-amp AC input circuit breaker and built-in multi-speed cooling fan.
Tested to UL standard 458, the MRV2012UL features moisture-resistant construction and a large-transformer design that enables vehicular operation in high-humidity environments, making it ideal for both land vehicles as well as marine craft.
Meets Normal and Peak Power Demands
When operating in inverter mode, the MRV2012UL accommodates peak surge demands by providing up to 200% more output power than its continuous rating of 2000 watts. In OverPower™ mode, the MRV2012UL can deliver 3000 watts for up to an hour, providing ample reserve power to keep tools and equipment running longer. In DoubleBoost™ mode, it can deliver 4000 watts for up to 10 seconds to support power-hungry equipment start-ups and motor cycling requirements.
The MRV2012UL features six front-panel diagnostic LEDs to indicate load level (high, medium and low), battery charge (high, medium and low), shutdown status and system fault status.
Customizable with Optional Features
The MRV2012UL is equipped with an RJ45 port for connection of an optional Remote Control LED/Switch Module (Tripp Lite model APSRM4, sold separately), enabling you to control and monitor the inverter/charger up to 15 meters (50 ft.) away. Other optional features include a battery temperature sensor with 20-foot cable that adjusts the charge level based on battery temperature, an ignition switch control jack that connects the MRV2012UL to the vehicle’s ignition switch and an automatic generator starter jack that allows the user configuration of automatic generator startup when the battery bank falls below a set voltage threshold.
