The instructions are vague, though I know how to use a shredder, but with this one, you must center the paper or credit card in order for the machine to activate i.e if you were shredding a receipt, you have to insert it dead center.
The credit card/CD shredder would obviously destroy a CD, but credit cards are cut in a few large pieces. While this makes it unuseable, it doesn't destroy your personal information, so I had to cut up the pieces manually.

Great Shredder!!
I love this shredder! I use this at home and it powers through all my unopened junk mail. It is fairly quiet and has not jammed once and I have been using for over 9 months.

we received this shredder on a wednesday and the next day on thursday it quit working!!!!!!!!!!! it would go in
reverse but not forward. that much money for 1 days work. I don't think so... It looks nice however
