Efficient Design Maximizes Product PerformanceThe APC P7GB Surge Protector accommodates up to seven standard connections at once, including one master, and three large controlled by master transformer plugs. It also offers three "always on" outlets for important equipment such as fax machines. Sliding covers prevent dust from settling inside the unit and impeding performance. Finally, a 4-foot power cord gives you the flexibility to store your P7GB wherever it fits best, even if it's not right next to your equipment.
LED Lights Provide Advance Warning
The P7GB has two LED lights that indicate compromised protection in advance. The site wiring fault light lets you know whether improper building wiring may present a shock hazard. The protection working light lets you know, before and after a surge event, whether the unit is still functioning as intended.
LED Indicator for Wiring Fault and Protection WorkingA metal oxide varistor (MOV) in the P7GB conducts surge voltage to the ground, while a thermal fuse works in conjunction with the MOV to cut the unit's connection to electrical current if it reaches a certain temperature. This means that even if the MOV is damaged by an overwhelming surge, the thermal fuse acts as a fail-safe feature, disconnecting your equipment from the power source so that excess voltage is unable to reach your network.
Lifetime Warranty and Equipment Protection Policy
This surge protector is covered by a limited lifetime warranty. This product also comes with a lifetime equipment protection policy of up to $50,000. APC will repair or replace office equipment that sustains surge-related damage while properly connected to a registered P7GB Surge Protector.
