Rated 1 out of 5 by Tomaudio from Wildly Overrated and Overpriced There is nothing "professional" about this microphone. I thought having one inexpensive mic that could serve as both USB and XLR would be very handy, but I was shocked at how terrible the quality was, considering all the great "reviews" I read of Blue products. For starters, in XLR mode, the mic was not only unbelievably noisy, it even picked up a local FM radio station. And terribly, to boot. The knobs are shoddy. And it doesn't even fit in the average shock mount. If you want a really good, prosumer quality medium diaphragm condenser mic, get an MXL 770 for way under $100.00. If you want a multi-capsule type usb mic with a variety of patterns, just get a Zoom H2n (with the added feature of prosumer quality recording built-in.) This is just a kiddie toy mic in a deceptively heavy case. Except I wouldn't even let a kid play with it. And I've been in the radio/tv/music production industry over 30 years. I don't expect Neumann or Telefunken quality in a $250.00-300.00 product. But this thing is a travesty. Zero stars.
