Samsung CRG9 49 Dual Quad HD QLED LCD Monitor HDMI DisplayPort C49RG90SSN - Reviews
Samsung CRG9 49" Dual Quad HD QLED LCD Monitor, HDMI, DisplayPort C49RG90SSN is rated out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Will from everything i was hoping for this is a hard monitor to find these days so i was extremely excited to finally see it in stock at office depot. I've had it for about a week now and still not over how cool it is. i use this for productivity - hooking up to my laptop docking station and using the big screen for looking at multiple office applications, and then switching over to my home pc for gaming: shooters, some sim racing. and for all of those applications it's been absolutely fantastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mike from Fantastic PbP display I returned my AOC 49" for this, and Samsung really did great work in their OSD & functionality of Picture-by-Picture compared to AOC. 5 stars, 0 complaints.

Rated 1 out of 5 by DisappointedLoyalCusty from Samsung CRG9 49" Monitor Arrived DEAD In April I purchased a Samsung C49RG9 49” Super Ultra Wide Curved Gaming Monitor (model #C49RG90SSN). It was delivered on May 23rd. I anxiously waited 4 weeks as it was on backorder and out of stock. I unboxed the monitor the same day it was delivered. The monitor was shipped directly from the manufacturer (MFD: April 2020) and it is defective. It will NOT power on and the LED light will not turn on. No standby light either. I unplugged everything and reconnected numerous times. I switched outlets. I tried a similar Samsung power cord as well as a Dell power cord. Nothing works. This is a brand new product and it’s not even functional out of the box. Completely dead on arrival (DOA). Very disappointed. I called Samsung Product Support to troubleshoot. No solution. Product support suggested that I make a service repair appointment which is wholly unacceptable for a brand new product straight out of the box. Looking to return monitor for full refund.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Love the monitor - wish there were MAC drivers I bought this about 3 weeks ago. Love the ultra wide-screen which really helps with multi-tasking in a work environment. 5K looks great on a gaming Windows 10 machine. On a high end MAC Book Pro I can only get 3840 x 1080 and there are no drivers specific to the MAC provided by Samsung. Still glad I have the monitor, just disappointed in the lack of MAC support.

Rated 2 out of 5 by NeilR from Brilliant Monitor Ruined by Stuck Pixel The size, resolution and features of this monitor probably make it the best monitor on sale at present but sickeningly I have a single stuck pixel in the middle third of the screen that shines bright blue which is really distracting during any dark game or video scene. Warranty for pixels is 7 pixels minimum though so I'm stuck with it. Samsung needs to do better given the cost - this is their flagship product at a flagship price, I expect flagship QC. Very disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by hozz from awesome experience one of the best purchases i ever made. loving it. no dead pixels for me.. this is the best value for money when you compare all other 49inch monitors. only competition from lg or dell which has same resolution .however those are not gaming .even though you dont play game you can still buy this due to 1000 nits for hdr ..only difference is usb c port is missing which you can buy an adaptor for mac where you coud get maximum display...so far so good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Marc from No issues at all! Awesome monitor if you want to go ULTRA wide. Negative reviews about the monitor mentioned dead pixels and HDR not functioning. I assume this must have been early models as my monitor had no dead pixels and HDR works well. I like that I can split the screen cross two sources, one for my private PC and the other side for my work laptop. Gaming is a dream.... I was a bit astonished that the monitor is not very high. If you want a gaming monitor for flight sim or if you are the aviator in FPS games this is NOT your monitor. For everybody else, o boy are you missing out if you don't have one! Rated 5 out of 5 by Rytir from Best gaming monitor yet Not sure why so many people seem to have dead pixels issues, but I purchased 2 of these in the same week one for me and one for my son and neither had pixel issues. Takes a beast to push the 5120 res but if you can games look amazing and smooth as butter.Coming from a Acer 38" Ultrawide.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BigtimeGamer from Great Monitor Package arrived in a timely manner. there were a couple gouges on the box but there is enough styrofoam that it did not affect the monitor. I know this wasn't Samsung's fault it was probably FedEx. I had no dead pixels. I am getting over 120 FPS running GTA V with an aorus RTX 2080 ( using the steam FPS counter) It's a very bright monitor with great picture! The only thing I have to say against it is that it does make certain games stretched. Obviously it's going to be a little stretched -but I mean, cars look like pancakes

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tyler from Best monitor on the market I bought this monitor back in June of 2019 on amazon, I upgraded from using asus' pg279q gaming monitor. And I have to say this was the best decision I have ever made. I was worried about it being free sync and not gsync because I read everywhere that gsync has less ghosting and tearing compared to free sync. This was not an issue with free sync 2. On nvidia control I was able to activate gsync on this monitor and I honestly cant tell any difference between asus' gsync monitors with smoothness of the screen other than the samsung having a much higher and better color range and brightness. The best part about this monitor is being able to play games in 32:9 format, it's an experience like trying VR for the first time. You will just be blown away.

Rated 4 out of 5 by cameracing from Great monitor but a lot of flickering I upgraded from an Asus 34 inch wide gaming monitor. I love the size of this monitor as well as build quality. I like the wide FOV that this offers. I did not want to buy and setup three monitors so this is a great alternative to multiple monitors. Now I am not impressed with Samsung drivers nor the overall quality. The screen flickers a lot when transitioning from white screen to black or with white on black images. Samsung products should not be this bad. I think it's a driver issue but since the driver is not great I cannot tell for sure. I do have a two years warranty with this monitor so I am not in a rush to get a new unit. I don't have any dead pixel so I am happy keeping the monitor with flickering issue but no dead pixel. A shame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by StreaMRoLLeR from HDR metadata bug ! SAMSUNG QC on this batch is nonexistent. Had to change 5x panels due to deadpixel or objects stuck inside panel. Improve QC. Its great display tho BUT you NEED TO SOLVE HDR BUG ASAP. Release a a firmware for WASHOUT COLORS IN GAMES WHEN HDR IS ACTIVATED. When everything works it amazing

Rated 3 out of 5 by Waltar from Great Monitor but HDR on it is Broken the colors and everything on the monitor are great, the monitor HDR seems to make everything look worst, it seems this is an issue with my unit sad because HDR was one of the features that made me purchase the monitor

Rated 5 out of 5 by pwnlads from 10 bit color, HDR 1000... what a joy! I had the 1080p version of this monitor but did the upgrade for the 1440p... so glad i did! Mine arrived with no problems what so ever. A shame that not everyone had the same luck but as far as my experience goes it is by far the best monitor i had. Im really glad with it! 10 bit color @ full RGB can only be achieved at 100hz, but im more than happy to compromise 20hz and get the full RGB with 10bit color... Gaming on this requires a top end graphic card because the pixel count its near a 4K monitor, so at the very least a 2080 is required. im pushing this baby on 2080ti and so far has been doing the job... Anothe thing i think was a big improvement was the Freesync which doesn't have flicker like my old 1080p version had. So to resume, im really really happy!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by LDSG Ghost from Absolute Life Changer. I've read reviews of dead pixels being a problem on these but I ordered anyways, and I am so glad I did. My CRG9 arrived faster than originally stated and was in absolute perfect condition, no dead pixels, no backlight bleed, just a perfect super ultrawide monitor. It was just plug and play and I couldn't be more happy. Games looked and felt amazing on it. Rainbow Six: Siege looks incredible on it. Forza Horizon 4 played like a dream, it was so realistic feeling. I just cannot get over how amazing this monitor is. I'm so happy I took the chance and got one. I came from a QHD 144Hz monitor and I couldn't tell the difference between what I was used to (144Hz) and the 120Hz. Everything played amazing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Can not display 8bit or 10bit color, banding! I tried this monitor on a Windows 10 machine with a GTX 1080TI graphics card. I could not get the display to properly display colors without banding in both 8bit and 10bit modes, regardless if using SDR or HDR content. Banding was always present, whether it be pictures on the desktop, in a game, or watching a movie. Really wanted to like this monitor, all the specs were good.. but at the end of the day the display is useless with an issue like this.
