Keep in mind that the paint thickness and coloring can vary significantly from manufacturer to manufacturer. Some paints can be used straight out of the tube; others may require a little medium to create a workable consistency. Consider factors like pigment load, lightfastness and the smoothness of the paint. Look for oil paint with few fillers to ensure the greatest quality and vibrancy.
