Business Select Pipe Threading Equipment
In pipe-fitting applications, pipe threading refers to the spiral pattern on the end of a pipe that allows that pipe to be joined to another pipe with a complementary thread pattern. Male pipe threading is on the outside, while female pipe threading is on the inside. To join two pipes together, a male-threaded pipe is rotated into a female-threaded pipe. With plenty of pipe threading tools to choose from, it's easy to accomplish any type of pipe work. Stock up on other hand tools and equipment to handle a number of different jobs.
Taps and Hex Dies
In order to create threads in pipes, you'll need taps or hex dies. Taps can be used to cut internal threads in pipes, while hex dies are used to cut external threads in pipes. Taps and hex dies are available in a variety of sizes to fit your existing pipe threading tool.
Pipe Threading Tools
Whether you need to form new threads, reform burred threads or clean out plaster and paint obstructions, a tapping tool or tap wrench can be used with corresponding taps and hex dies. It's easy to change out different tap sizes to suit various projects. Choose a tap wrench with a large T-handle to create more leverage.
Oilers and Pipe Stands
When pipes aren't fitting together correctly, a hand-operated oiler might be just the tool needed. Use an oiler to deliver strokes of oil to rusty, difficult pipes. A two-finger trigger reduces hand fatigue during use, and a locking drip pan collects the oil as it's dispersed. Pipe stands are great options for welding applications, when pipes need to be held securely in place. Select an adjustable pipe stand to fit many different pipe diameters and weights.
