Take a moment. Think about your business or the business idea you’ve been sitting on for a while and ponder the following question:
‘What is stopping you from starting or elevating your business?’
For some, it’s because they’re satisfied with what they have. But most entrepreneurs are defined by their drive and will always be looking for ways to improve or scale up, so there are other obstacles that get in the way like lack of expertise in a given area (ie; bookkeeping, HR) or lack of time and resources.
Do you really have time to search the Internet for hours in order to teach yourself quickbooks or the newest algorithm on your business’s social media platform?
And so, you must answer this question before moving forward.
Generally, the answer is complex because of two reasons:
Oftentimes these obstacles aren’t entirely addressed with one, single solution.
What may be stopping you is more of an internal struggle like the ever-popular “fear of failure” – there’s always fun (and relatively accurate) statistics out there deterring you, like 7 out of 10 businesses will fail within 10 years. [Fundera]
That means you – the business owner – should be surrounded by resources and support if you’re expecting to succeed. Equally important and something that should be expressed to our growing population of entrepreneurs is that confidence is key. But remember not to mix up arrogance and confidence in this situation.
You would be arrogant to create an awesome product/service and assume it would sell because you and your friends/family love it.
You would be confident if you created that product/service, tested it out in market, and then made the decision to alter it or keep as is based on market research.
You get that confidence with experience and trust – not ironically, the same way a customer would become loyal to your brand. But how can a small business receive enterprise-level support without having to fork over a ton of cash to hire internal employees and on the flip side, how can you be sure a freelancer you’ve hired will deliver the way you need it to be?
That’s where Workonomy comes into play. We’re a business revolution for hire.
If your business needs something you’ll find it with Workonomy because a successful business owner isn’t looking for a small solution to one problem, they’re looking for breakthroughs that will move them to the next level.
Imagine how much time you can get back with having one place where you can get everything for your business done.
Printing (including all your marketing materials, posters, business cards)
If you could take even one of these crucial tasks off your plate, what could that mean for your business? Maybe you can focus on your social media strategy or make plans to speak at the next big trade show to boost exposure and establish your brand as an authority in an industry. It’s YOUR time, so use it where it matters most.
In a world where time is the most valuable resource and can’t be bought, small businesses now more than ever have the means to compete with enterprise-level companies in a given market thanks to time-saving strategies. Find the weakest (or most uninteresting) points of your business and let professionals handle them. Do what you do best and focus on your passion.
