bonded leather can become unbonded
For the first year or two this chair was OK, but in humid conditions a funny thing happens to bonded leather--it can become bonded to skin, and that bond can become stronger than the bond between the leather and whatever fabric it's bonded to. First the leather on the armrests started to peel off. Then the leather on the seat started to come off, sticking to the underneath of the legs of whoever's sitting on the chair and wearing shorts. Anyway, the chair now has a large t-shirt on the back, socks over each armrest, and a folded used car seat cover on the seat so that we can still at least sit on the chair. The leather on the seat and armrests has enormous areas where the leather has come off.

Nice Chair, Nice Price
Regarding the "low-back" design, I'm 6'2 and the backrest comes up to the bottom of my shoulder blades (when I'm sitting up straight). Assembly was fairly uncomplicated, although the parts positioning usually didn't allow full-circle turns with the hex wrench. The angle of the backrest was too far forward and felt like it was pushing me off the chair. But after a little reverse engineering (see photo) I was able to rig it to lean back more comfortably. So be forewarned: Once assembled, there's practically nothing you can do to adjust it to your particular body shape. I'm not surprised some reviews say it's uncomfortable. The seat doesn't "breathe" like fabric would, so after a while it does get hot - but then, fabric has its own drawbacks. No it's not the greatest chair, but at the sale price I think I got my money's worth.

Make sure you have the right chair
I didn't realize at first how important the hour rating of a chair was. I've had this chair for 2.5 years now and have to say it's time for a new chair.
I use it as my computer chair and can feel all of my pressure points aching so bad now. The cushion is completely worn and it feels as if I am just sitting on the wooden base.
To be fair, it is a good chair for only a couple of hours of use a day. The ONLY time I would recommend this chair is if you are using it ONLY for 2 hours a day. However, if you plan on using your computer for 3-8 a day, like me as I am a graphic designer, do not get this chair. Go for a mesh chair as that will serve you much better.
As a side note, Mine has only just started to show signs of deterioration on the leather, and I've moved several times with it. Rather sturdy chair.
