what happened
Skittles used to be so good. I haven't had them in awhile and picked up a bag yesterday, yuck! It didn't taste like fruit flavors, more like dull soap flavors. Horrible!

Ingredients and Tools Needed1 14-oz. bag Skittles
1 bag large marshmallows
1 large bowl of water
5 separate bowls (one for each flavor)
A grinding bowl or food processor
A handful of festive straws
A polystyrene block or tall glass for servingDirections:
Separate Skittles into piles based on color. Grind each pile into a fine powder using a grinding bowl or food processor. Pour each flavor’s powder into a separate bowl. Skewer a marshmallow with a festive straw, dip in water, then dab on a paper towel to remove excess water. Coat each marshmallow by generously sprinkling or rolling in the desired Skittles powder. Prop them up in a polystyrene block or a tall glass, let dry, and serve.

Skittles Crispy Cupcakes

INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup butter
10 oz. marshmallows
6 cups crispy rice cereal
1 cup Skittles, plus extra to decorate
FrostingINSTRUCTIONS
1. Grease two muffin tins and set aside. This recipe makes about 18 cupcakes, so if you only have one tin, grease a small pan to press the rest of the mixture in.
2. Measure cereal into a large bowl.
3. Melt butter and marshmallows together on medium heat, stirring until smooth.
4. Pour over cereal and stir until almost combined. Add Skittles and mix well.
5. Press into muffin tin cups, forming a little dome on top.
6. Let cool an hour or so, then frost and decorate. Store covered at room temperature.
