You received a notice from Citibank, our partner for over 30 years, about their decision to end support for the Office Depot® OfficeMax® Credit Card on January 31, 2025. While we're disappointed to end this benefit, we remain committed to providing valuable products and services in our stores and online. For savings, consider joining the Office Depot OfficeMax Rewards program to earn up to 5% back, plus access exclusive member deals weekly. Office Depot® OfficeMax® still accepts many forms of payment, including PayPal and major credit cards, as well as cash and tap and pay in stores.

Why has this change been made?
The decision to end the credit card program impacts all account holders and was not based on any information regarding your individual credit card status or credit standing. No action is required on your part. Please note, your account cannot be reopened.
When will this change be effective?
Your Office Depot Credit Account issued by Citibank, N.A. will be closed on January 31, 2025.
Am I still required to make payments on my credit card account with Citi?
Yes. Citibank, N.A. will continue to service your account while the account has a balance. Please refer to your monthly billing statements for the correct mailing address or you can continue to service and manage your account via the existing Account Online website(s).
Will my AutoPay enrollment continue?
Your current AutoPay payments will continue until your remaining balance on your credit card account issued by Citibank, N.A. is paid in full.
Will this affect my credit score?
This decision was not based on any information regarding your credit card status or credit standing. Citi does not produce or maintain your credit score; therefore, Citi cannot advise how your score may be affected. You may contact one of the major credit bureaus, Experian, Equifax, or TransUnion, if you would like to find out more about your credit score.
What if I have additional questions about my closed account?
Citibank, N.A. will continue to service your account while the account has a balance. You can continue to self-service and manage your account online at officedepotcards.accountonline.com. You can also contact Citibank via the customer service number provided on your statement or on the back of your credit card.
Will I still receive rewards benefits after my Office Depot OfficeMax credit card closes?
Yes, as a valued Office Depot OfficeMax customer you will continue to earn rewards. Access your rewards in-store using your phone number, log in to your Office Depot OfficeMax Account or download the Office Depot OfficeMax app.
How will I receive rewards benefits now that my Office Depot OfficeMax credit card is closed? I have always earned rewards automatically when I use my Office Depot OfficeMax credit card.
Beginning 1/31 your rewards benefits will be tracked based on the rewards number entered at the time of purchase. In-Store provide your phone number associated with your rewards account at checkout. For officedepot.com orders, confirm your rewards number is stored on your profile. See instructions in the Office Depot OfficeMax Help Center.
Office Depot® OfficeMax® Rewards (“Program”): Rewards are earned on the price paid for an item or service before tax and after deducting all discounts, the value of free gifts and the value of any rewards and/or merchandise certificates/cards applied to that purchase. No rewards are earned on delivery fees; postage stamps; gift or pre-paid cards; Secure Shredding and Storage services; tech, furniture, marketing or administrative services; or any third party services. Program rewards are paid out monthly online only as a rewards certificate when a minimum of $3 is earned. Program rewards will expire at the end of each calendar quarter if less than $3 has been earned. Bonus rewards are paid out separately next-day and do not contribute to the calculation of Program rewards. Rewards certificates are redeemable for future purchases at Office Depot and OfficeMax stores, officedepot.com, or by phone at 800-GODEPOT. Limit 1 account per household/business.
