Ativa™ DVI To VGA Adapter is rated out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lackofattentiontodetail from I ordered the wrong item I needed a slightly different configuration so the adapter didn't work for me, my fault. It was delivered quickly, in perfect condition and it looks great. The mail delivery service is great. All I have to do is learn to read descriptions better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MilesNelson from Works but is missing key element Monitors fail to recognize turned off computer because adapter does not relay that signal. I purchased this adapter to connect my new computer with a primary DVI video to my Samsung Display that accepts HDMI or VGA. Thus I opted to purchase the Ativa™ DVI To VGA Adapter. It is a bit longer than other adapters for the same need. Which means the exposure to accidental wacking (external damage) is higher. But no worries as long as no one gets behind the computer. The biggest problem is the adapter appears to be missing a critical pin connection to let my monitor know when the computer is turned off. Therefore the monitor keeps looking for a disconnected cable. How do I know it is the adapter? Because I purchased a different adapter and the monitor gets the message in milliseconds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by John from DVI-D vs DVI-I Regarding the above 1-out-of-5-stars review, please note that this cable converts VGA to DVI-I output, whereas most users require DVI-D output. They appear identical, but this one contains additional pins for an analog signal, and DVI-D ports are not equipped to accept them. Hope this helps.
