Remanufactured cartridges are created through a process of collection, sorting, dismantling, cleaning, refilling and repackaging for sale. Maximum emphasis is placed on the reuse of original parts to minimize the need for virgin materials. Remanufactured cartridges are always filled with new ink and toner to help ensure clean and problem-free printing.
Remanufacturing one toner cartridge keeps an average of two and a half kilograms of plastic out of landfills. Also since up to 80% less energy is required to remanufacture cartridges (versus creating new ones) overall green house gas emissions are significantly reduced as well.
Ink Refill Kits
Many cartridges can be refilled using ink refill kits. This avoids the need to remanufacture or create new cartridges altogether. This significantly reduces material and energy intensity.
