Tripp Lite's SRCOOL33K is a computer room air conditioner meant for general computer room area cooling or supplemental cooling for large server rooms. The SRCOOL33K uses a compressor technology that drastically cuts the energy consumption over a standard air conditioning model. It uses an inverter driven DC variable speed compressor. A typical air conditioner uses an AC compressor that is either 100% on or 100% off. Each time the compressor turns on there are enormous in-rush current spikes. The unit runs for several minutes to cool the space then turns completely off. This start/stop sequence is not the most efficient way of running.Tripp Lite uses the inverter driven, variable speed, DC compressor technology. During start-up the SRCOOL33K has a slow-start feature that spools the compressor up slowly. This prevents the high in-rush current spike seen in AC driven compressors. Another feature is that it doesn't need to run full on, and then full off.

Maintenance is no-hassle due to the self-contained design, which requires no water collection tank or extra plumbing, while RoHS compliance and eco-friendly R410a refrigerant means you’ll never have to worry about meeting environmental standards.

Easy to Install, Use and MaintainUsing its standard, heavy-duty L6-30P input plug and an exhaust duct connection to the drop ceiling, the SRCOOL33K can be completely user-installed. This means there is no complicated assembly that requires lengthy installation by an electrician or any need for contractor-supplied piping. The unit comes completely functional out of the box, with no costly additional parts needed. Its self-contained design also means that any condensation is re-humidified and worked back into the exhaust air stream, needing no water collection tanks, plumbing or external floor drain. The intuitive LCD display allows for quick monitoring and control of all of the unit's vital functions and data.
Powerful, Reliable CoolingWith 33,000 BTU of cooling power, the SRCOOL33K has one of the highest cooling capacities in its class at a fraction of the start-up and operating cost! The SRCOOL33K provides predictable cooling by working with your hot-aisle/cold-aisle configuration and delivering cold air high in the cold aisle. This eliminates undesirable heat concentration and increased intake air temperatures above the rack midpoint and promotes temperature uniformity from 1U to 42U.
Advanced Technology Improves Cooling EfficiencyA variable-speed, DC-inverter-driven compressor and microprocessor-controlled electronic expansion valve (EEV) allow the SRCOOL33K to operate continuously at precise cooling levels, providing much more efficient operation than legacy on/off cycling. After achieving the desired temperature, the SRCOOL33K settles into a highly efficient temperature maintenance mode, rather than completely turning off. This eliminates the massive amount of power wasted by traditional on/100% operation cooling/off cycling. Additionally, the SRCOOL33K limits inrush current and prevents line noise, voltage disruptions and potential circuit overloads that can occur with other models that have inrush spikes of over 50 amps.
Remote Monitoring and ControlWith its built-in Modbus card and slot for a network interface (Tripp Lite SNMPWEBCARD, sold separately), the SRCOOL33K can be controlled from anywhere in the world via Web, Modbus, SNMP, SSH or telnet. Remote access allows IT managers to monitor and control the unit's status, address alarms, cycle the unit and control the output temperature without wasting valuable time going on-site.
