Delivery Filing & Folders

Which are the best folders for school?

Even though many things have gone digital in today’s schools, some teachers and students still deal with paperwork. Folders are often an important part of back-to-school supplies. Portable pocket folders help students carry their papers from school to home and back again. Folders come in many different colors and patterns. Assigning students and subjects specific colors is a great way to organize schoolwork.

Students who need or want to organize folders inside a binder should purchase a certain style of pocket folder. These folders should be made of sturdy materials to withstand daily use in the classroom or at home. Pocket folders for binders should also feature three pre-cut punched holes, making it convenient for students to secure and remove folders easily.

What are the different types of folders?

There are six main types of folders: file folders, hanging file folders, expanding file folders, classification folders, zip folders, and pocket folders. Manila file folders are the classic light tan folders used in filing letter- or legal-size documents. They feature tabs at the top for easy labeling. File folders are now available in many colors.

Expanding file folders might be the right choice for those who need to store many pages in a folder. These folders can hold a lot because of their deep, accordion-style design. Hanging file folders are another excellent option for organizing paperwork in filing cabinets at school. And pocket folders are perfect for those who need to carry schoolwork or hand out information packets.

Zip folders take pocket folders a step further and offer extra security. Once paperwork is zipped into these folders, there’s no need to worry about anything falling out and getting lost. Classification folders, or fastener file folders, are another way to secure documents.
