Compatibility is Key
First and foremost, you need the right tape for the label maker you’ve selected. Every package should identify the compatible models for each brand of machine. So, for example, label maker tapes designed for a Brother or other brand of label maker should clearly state which labels can be used with those models. Conversely, the label boxes should also state which label makers are compatible with those labels.

Label maker tapes generally come with a kind of thermal transfer printing to ensure the label content stays secure and doesn’t fade or smear. Most labels can be used both indoor and outdoor. Laminated tape has an extra-strength adhesive for more uneven, rough-textured, slippery and even plastic surfaces.
