What is a sticky tab?

Sticky tabs are small, colorful tabs of paper with a light adhesive on one part of the back. A standard tab might measure 1 by 1.5 inches in size. They’re used to create sections in calendars, binders, planners, and larger documents. Students and professionals may use sticky tabs to easily organize their paperwork.

People can also use them for personal use, for example, to mark sections in cookbooks. Tabs have a re-adhesive glue, so they can be placed, peeled up, and moved to different sections of a calendar, book, binder, or another document.

How do you use sticky tabs?

Sticky tabs have an adhesive on one part of the tab’s back. To use the tab, place it on the page that needs to be marked. Press lightly to get the pressure-sensitive adhesive to take hold. The tab should then be secured. To remove the tab later, gently peel it up, holding the page on either side to prevent it from tearing.

Sticky tabs come in many colors, including blue, green, yellow, and red. People may use different colored tabs to improve their organization.
