What does my protection plan cover?
Plans purchased after June 30, 2026 cover accidental damage, plus mechanical and electrical failures from normal use.

What doesn't my protection plan cover?

How does the protection plan work with the manufacturer's warranty?
Most items come with a manufacturer's warranty that lasts one year. If there is an issue during this time, you may be referred to the manufacturer for service. If there is an issue that is not covered by the warranty during the warranty period but is included in your Allstate plan, Allstate will cover it.

Do I need to file a claim within a certain amount of time for my issue to be covered? 
Furniture and seating claims must be filed within 30 days of stain or damage occurrence.

What happens if I sell my item?
You can transfer your plan to the item's new owner free of charge if it is sold or changes ownership. The plan is not transferable from item to item.

Does my protection plan work when I'm traveling?
Yes. Your plan includes worldwide service, which means that your item is covered even when you're overseas. For details on worldwide service, see our Terms & Conditions at AllstateProtectionPlans.com/OfficeDepot.

Do I need my receipt to file a claim?
Yes. Your receipt is required to file a claim. You can save your receipt at AllstateProtectionPlans.com/OfficeDepot and we'll save it for you in case you need it in the future.
