MapPoint 2006 With GPS Locator is a powerful mapping and navigation tool that helps you turn information into insight, letting you easily combine business data with mapping and location. As a business tool, you can use MapPoint 2006 to turn your complex spreadsheets and data tables into easy-to-understand maps. Plan business trips from origination to destination with all stops along the way. When you're on the road, the included GPS receiver connects to your notebook computer via USB and integrates with MapPoint software to display your current location and speed in real time. You can insert your maps into documents and even save them as web pages. Also included is Microsoft Pocket Streets, allowing you to create custom maps in MapPoint and then export them for use on your Microsoft Windows Mobile based Smartphone or Pocket PC.

The GPS Locator connects easily to a PC through a USB port to provide real-time tracking of your current location. And under Windows XP, you can use the GPS receiver in combination with a route you've created to give you voice-prompted driving directions. Even without the GPS device, you can use Location Finder to display your position — using your computer's wireless capability and a database of known Wi-Fi access points.
