Google Expeditions is a virtual reality (VR) tech tool that lets students go on exciting excursions from the comfort of their classroom. With over 500 preloaded field trips, students can tour majestic locations on earth and beyond.
- In Google Expeditions, the teacher is the tour guide and the students are the followers. VR panoramas and 360 degree photospheres are annotated with descriptions and points of interest for teachers to incorporate into their lesson plans.
- Using the tablet during a VR tour, the teacher can point to specific areas to explore prompting an arrow on the student’s device. The arrow will then direct the students to look in that direction.
