Shred and Store Your Files with Office Depot and Iron Mountain
We can help you destroy your documents safely and securely. Want paperwork out of sight but still intact? We can store it all in a secure off site facility with options to access what you need, when you need it. Iron Mountain will even come to you for pickup if you want!
In-Store Shredding Services
Drop your documents in one of our locked in-store bins and we'll do the rest. Documents are recycled and your information is protected by a tightly controlled chain of custody.
Clean paper (any size), blueprints, newspapers, magazines, brochures, mail, photographs, and file folders can go into shred bins; no need to remove staples, paper clips, rubber bands or small binders.
The following items do not go into shred bins: paper exceptions (cardboard, telephone books, hard cover books), plastics (plastic bags and packing materials, computer discs, DVDs, CDs, VCR tapes, transparencies, ID badges, driver’s licenses, x-rays), batteries (no batteries of any kind), hardware (computer parts, printer and photocopier parts, trash or hazardous materials), metals, and biohazardous and medical waste.
Why should I shred my documents?
Secure shredding allows businesses to safely and cost effectively destroy unnecessary paper based documents that may contain confidential information. Shredding can help prevent identity theft or data breach, free up space, and recycle documents.
Why should I store my records offsite?
Secure offsite record storage can help you effectively manage your documents, helping you to free up office space, reduce administration costs, increase security of your document, and maintain convenient on-demand access to your documents.
What can I expect after my order is placed?
You will receive an email notification of your order after checkout. Iron Mountain will contact you within 3 business days to schedule your pick up date.
Will my pick up service happen the same day my order is placed?
No, Iron Mountain will call you to schedule your pick up within 3 business days
Will you pick up documents from my house/home office to shred?
Iron Mountain will pick up documents from your house/home office for shredding services. Our third party service provider will drop off and pick up your bin(s) or pick up your boxes directly from your home. Bin(s) or boxes must be on a ground floor (i.e. ground floor porch or garage), and the third party service provider associate is not permitted to enter your home.
Residential shredding is subject to availability based on service location. Limited services available in Alaska, Hawaii or the Virgin Islands.
What type of containers do you have for your offsite shredding program?
Iron Mountain offers 65 gallon containers (which hold approximately 230 lbs or eight 1.2 cubic foot document storage boxes) as well as 32 gallon consoles (which hold approximately 100 lbs.).
