This adapter will allow an installer to break out the IR anywhere in line with the Cat5 cable, providing easier placement of IR when MCIA adapter is not convenient to devices being controller via IR. Adapter connectors are female to female RJ45 with 3.5 mm mono to break out the IR signal.
