Elevate Together Success Stories 

In honor of Women’s History Month we’re proud to present two Success Stories from our very own Elevate Together Grant Recipients, Staffing Strong and Stitch Me Apparel.


Evelyn Vega, President of Staffing Strong

Staffing Strong is a woman-led and Hispanic-owned recruiting and hiring agency founded by President Evelyn Vega in 2014, dedicated to connecting employers with our diverse talent communities for direct-hire, contract-to-hire and contract/freelance positions. With the Elevate Together cash grant Staffing Strong was able to purchase a marketing automation tool so we can strategically connect more with these candidates to help them uncover new opportunities in an increasingly competitive job market. The Elevate Together mentor has played a critical role in educating, and addressing the types marketing technology Staffing Strong needs to be successful.


Brenda Nelson, Owner of Stitch Me Apparel

Stitch Me LLC, is a branding company specializing in custom branded apparel using decorating techniques such as embroidery, silk screening, rhinestones, digital and many others. We also specialize in promotional products such as mugs, cups, pens, banners, signs, tablecloths, tents, etc. The Elevate Together cash grant gave us the opportunity to invest in a platform to expand our capabilities to be able to build and manage unique, online webstores for our customers. The Elevate Together mentor helped my business by helping me prioritize what is important and what to focus on. She helped me to set realistic goals and develop a plan for achieving them.


Celebrating Women’s History Month

Women’s History Month takes place annually during March. It’s an important time for everyone to reflect on the amazing contributions that women have made in our society and also celebrate the women we cherish in our own lives! And there are many ways we can do this, both in and out of the workplace.
